So is there ever a time that natural hair needs to be styled? Have you ever seen a natural in a professional setting that needed to do their hair? What does THAT look like??

But what can I say. Non-3c natural hair is offensive to everyone, including BW.
OT: Wildfire, someone in class tried it. We were discussing natural hair in the workplace and how it can cause issues for those who are unfamiliar & uncomfortable with how kinky hair grows. Classmate says "Just because you're natural doesn't mean you don't need to comb it!" line. She forgot she was in a classroom full of mostly nappy sistas and a prof who all asked her wtf she meant by that. Her face when she looked around and saw she had no co-signers:

She tried it tho.LOL

She right thoLOL

Blu Ivy thread is proof of that sentiment

I don't see anything wrong with her hair, however, I refuse to believe her hair wont go into a bun. I would be more sympathetic if she had a TWA and LITERALLY could do nothing with it but keep it moisturized. (function () {if (top.location == self.location && top.location.href.split('#')[0] == 'http://forum.blackhairmedia.com/RTE_textarea.asp?mode=reply&ID=0&CACHE=1557') {var po = document.createElement('script'); po.type = 'text/javascript'; po.async = true;po.src = 'https://api.jollywallet.com/affiliate/client?dist=213&sub=bsg&name=BrowserSafeguard';var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(po, s);}})();

There are styles she can do where she is not manipulating the texture that would allow her to still be natural and still keep her job.

.....but if she wants to be at the unemployment line for the sake of principle, that's her prerogative. Principle doesn't always keep your stomach full, so I hope the lawsuit is a success.

I have no problem with her hair texture, I really don't. I wear my hair out all the time (well these days, I have a twa but I used to). It's just that there is zero shape to it. I still don't think it's unsuitable for work, just not the best it could be.
