dont let them mess up your relationship. you already stated in your op that family and friends already know whats going on. everyone else in social media..or not are not even important. i mean..what were you doing before social media was around? dont put too much faith in that. you know him better than anyone else. dont be one of those ppl that are..just cause its on fb (or whatever) must mean its the truth.

cause i can tell ya. on fb..i dont want ppl knowing me. i dont use my real name. they dont even know if the kids posted are mine. i was with my dude when i first got it and its been saying im widowed since the beginning of time lol. no one knows what he looks like. (minus the folks i talk to irl)

im just sayin tho. good luck.

They are the ones that got me hype and overthinking sh#t. It's a different time. If social media weren't such powerful tools in society then why are FB, Twitter, IG, etc each multi-billion dollar companies? People are meeting husbands and sh#t on social networks. New age=new things to be aware of.

Okay, so it was simply a case of him not realizing what he was doing made you feel a little slighted. :)

Alls well that ends well! :)

Yes, he could meet someone without using social media, or maybe when he stated he would be at such event, some fans showed up and he could have hooked up with one and.....

I mean, the scenarios are infinite, but if you trust him, if he also shows his commitment, then there is little for you to worry about.

I wouldn't mind. I dont post my S/O on social sites bc people are messy. Friends & Family know so that's all that matters. My guy friend had a discussion about that with me. He used to post his gf's on his page but stopped bc after they broke up he had to go through the trouble of deleting pics & things. He said he much rather wait until they are married/engaged before he post another pic of his boo. He also said it's kind of a turn off to be with a woman that always want to take pics to SHARE on social site. Its like a show off more than remembering the moment. I totally agree. Some people think you're hiding them if you don't show them off but I look at it as protecting the relationship.

I don't think its because he is trying to hide you, because people can cheat all type of ways. he probably truly does just like to keep his relationships private; social media can be so messy and some people use for entertainment purposes. I wouldn't take it personal, but at the same time I understand why its a nice gesture to post you two once in a while.

I would just talk to him about it.

I am probably no help because I do see both sides of it. but I can't lie and say I wouldn't wonder why I wasn't posted at all if my man was a very active user. plus all other aspects are public...i.e. family and friends.

eta: I know this may sound crazy, but some people view it as a jinx (sp?) too. just a crazy thought!

this is the second time you said that. were you worried about it before? annnd thats why i said dont let them mess things up for you. but like i said you know him better than anyone if he starts acting weird...or if your gut is tellin something go with that feeling. not cause your friends put some kinda thought in your head....so good luck with all that.Heart

@spoken ive heard about that jinx too. too many times ive seen it happen. folks put too much into social media IMO. but what do i know? im just some cranky old school lady that keeps to herselfLOL

Ya'll funny you think a page with pics would stop someone from cheating or a girl that really wanted your dude to not want him anymore.. At the end of the day social media is just social media.. A bunch of people giving their personal opinions on everything.. Your relationship should be personal

Umm I don't think the OP is saying that posting her pic would STOP him from cheating,

The thinking was that her BF was keeping her pic off Social Media (though he posted everything else) because he didn't want anyone (other women) to know there was a girlfriend in his life,

btw: The OP made a long posts that she had spoken with her BF and now her pic is up so everything is okay now. :)

That's way I say 'alls well that ends well..' above .. .. but then her post got deleted or something...
