They didn't have black literature in my high school so I didn't read Invisible man until one of my summer program teachers gave it to me as a gift in my senior year. I have to be honest, I just couldn't get through it then, it started off a bit slow, but it is still in my library, so I am interested in looking at it again.

One of my favorite books, though, is Sula, by Toni Morrrison.

Bought this never finished it.....I actually think someone took it....haven't seen it in years

I absolutely loved it all.

We had to memorize the prologue and something else in Middle English.
We did too! I had to recite it with the accent! I got a perfect score.

Ms. Stewart's AP English class, 1987. LOL

I know I read this but I can't remember the plot. I was confusing this with Native Son. I guess I'll have to pick it up at the library again

This the same state that is trying to limit their voters rights. Not surprised at all. Government is taking very slow steps to go back in time.
