Are we unemployed because it's almost impossible to get a job or maybe because we are being too picky??

I graduated from college in December and since they're not many opportunities in my field locally, I've been settling and looking for just a general office job., but I haven't had any luck. Ok, so that's not working... My people are telling me to just get ANY job...(grocery store, fast food, cashier type jobs, or any minimal paying job) I agree that I probably should do this, but I think it will totally kill my self-esteem...I mean not as if not having a job and money right now isn't bad...but I guess I'm saying it will hurt my pride, but atleast I will have money... Cry

Does anyone else feel like this?

If you have financial support, then yes, I would hold off on a miminum wage job.  Have you expanded your job search as far as location.   Maybe you should consider relocation if you are able to find a job in a more metropolitan area.

Wayne head I know where you're coming from.  I've been out of work for 3 weeks and I'm starting to get nervous cause I know next months bills are coming up.  I quit my job in fast food to get a job in my career field (A.A.S Degree in Paralegal/ Legal Assisting).  I've tried and tried but haven't got a job offer yet.  I'm thinking about getting a night job doing anything to make ends meet.  That way I can still try to find a job in my field in the day time.

I feel shytie
I have a temp job but i'm not getting any hours so I might as well be jobless.

I'm so use to always having a job. I'm trying to start on my savings plan, investments, and etc and I have to pay off my debt before I have to start paying for these school loans.. and I can't.

I am just depressed. Cry

Aint no stress like bills stacking up, having no food, and trying to do the right things with your life (i.e. paying off debt, stay in college, start rebuilding credit, moving on your own, and so much more)

The competition for minimum wage jobs is getting fierce.

I've never felt that way.
All money is green. It doesn't matter how it's made (as long as it's made legally).
