I wrap mine and put on a satin scarf. The bonnet falls off my head because I sleep wild, actually if you wrap your hair you avoid split ends. Then I get up in the morning and comb it down, easy, takes only a few minutes.

I can assure you it doesn't.

I agree, not wrapping doesn't cause breakage. I just do a loose bun and hold it in place with a bobby pin and put on a satin scarf. No breakage here.

wrapping your hair all the times can also cause it to become thin. if i dont feel like wrapping my hair i put  it in a bun or i pin it up.

Thanks for all the input guys!  But I too cannot do the wrap because I sleep wild and it comes off, plus it is uncomfortable, plus in the summer time it is too hot.   So  I am glad to hear that a satin pillow case wont be too damaging.

Do you think its good to braid hair at night or but it in a low ponytail, which way do you think is better for the hair at night before putting on the scarf?

well.i wouldn't braid it unless you wanted waves in it....i think wrapping is easier then put on the scarf...i can't wrap my hair w/o clips b/c the hair will fall... then i just slip the clips out once i've secured the scarf....or others like to twist their hair and then put the scarf on..when my hair is not straight..i just keep it in the ponytail and tie the scarf around it and go to sleep.

Well, I know if I don't tie my hair up at night it would not be healthy. My hair is more fragile and it will break off in a New York minute. That's why I have to tie my hair up at night. But to answer the original question...this is what I do nightly.

1. I spray Surge 14 on my scalp and roots.

2. I comb my hair in a wrap ( a circle).

3. I apply Elasta QP mango butter to my ends.

4. I tie it up with a satin scarf.

* not only does this promote healthy hair for me but my hair comes out shiney and str8 in the morning. If you have trouble with your hair I think it would be a good method for you. and no after 8 years it has not made my hair thin.
