Topic: Nicki M tells Hot 97 to STOP playing her Posted: Nov 30 2012 at 7:49pm |

She is going to bring her own career down if she don't calm down
Nicki Minaj Tells HOT 97 Not to Play Her Music AnymoreIn what seems to be a teeter-totter relationship, Nicki Minaj and New York’s HOT 97 are butting heads once again. After reestablishing their relationship during the annual Summer Jam concert, Nicki is now blaming the station and radio show host Peter Rosenberg for her very poor album sales, therefore she doesn’t want the station playing her music anymore.
After comments made by Rosenberg a few months ago, Nicki says her career has suffered a severe backlash from loss of fans to the 36K opening sales of The Re-Up. HOT 97′s Program Director, Ebro, has stepped in to give a more clear explanation and even share the phone call between himself and Minaj. “I said, ‘Rosenberg ruined Nicki Minaj’s career’ – evidence suggests based on this Re-Up release, the things [Rosenberg] said about her being pop and selling out and making that pop music came back to haunt her,” he said. “Now, she puts six rap records on this album and it didn’t sell…I get the phone call, the international number pops up, I answer the call, it’s my friend Nicki Minaj, who then starts to proclaim how I’m fake. She used every woman’s stab she could – ‘I thought you were a man, you’re a cornball, I thought we were friends, you’re fake, everyone told me you were fake’…I said, ‘Nicki, I’m helping you. I’m keeping you in the Hip Hop conversation. This Hip Hop thing’s a competition; you’re either ringing, or you’re not, and just like I said yesterday, i love you, boo and I’ll dust you off and make sure this thing is popping off again.’ And she goes, ‘Don’t ever play my music again’…of course we are [still playing Nicki Minaj], I love Nicki Minaj.”

I didn't realize Rosenberg had that kind of power. Hot 97 is only one radio station out of the how many radio stations in P1 markets? I'm having a hard time taking Nicki even remotely serious with this complaint. Your album didn't sell well bc it was a repackage of a previous one with a few new tracks sprinkled in to give it relevance. Fans don't need to buy something that's already in existence.

Well, her album is not selling because she is acting like a 'stupid hoe'.
If she keep putting her foot in her mouth, then she will be completely irrelevant by the end of 2013.

Umm...it never crossed her mind that she keeps releasing the same damn album over and over again? Or, maybe Peter was actually right and no hip-hop fan is checking for that pop b.s.? I wouldn't play her music at all and I wish all radio stations would stop.

Her people must have made her think the repackaged CD would really sell. She needs to be mad at them for lying to her.
OT: Wish she'd tell my local stations not to play her stuff lol

And I agree with Modelbusiness and AshBash.
No need to buy the same damn album when all it is is the same old sh*t, just different packaging and a few half ass remixes thrown in there to give the appearance of being new.
