Interesting, thx for sharing. I have to wonder how these methods hold up once you wash the hair? Does this work for full sew in with closure and stand up to repeated washing? I have been wondering this for that acrylic sealer as well because I am truly wondering if it may have contributed to light tangling I had with my last closure. I opted not to seal this time around and no issues thus far

^ Well I can tell you for one thick layer w/o sealant and washing w/o shampoo, the "scalp" starts to dissolve. Not sure about two layers. Anyone else try it yet?

Great Idea, very creative. are you working on growing your edges back? I have weak edges too and want to do something that works I am afraid of using needles on a roller though....

The LF section did this years ago but cool beans she brought it to light. I believe "The Secret" (owner of whatwig) first used it on her own natural hair in combo with makeup to create a scalp look.
Sexi's silicon tape works better tho....less work, reusable, and no shininess.

Well, I tried it. Many ways; whole area, with and without makeup, patch area, one layer, two layers. It doesn't work. It's shiny. Looks like you have cling wrap on under your wig.
The silicone sheets I have look way better.
ETA: I used a part of my beater, I ain't got no closures. |
What are silicone sheets?
