The hair on different parts of the body grows at different rates at least in my case. Now I had stopped taking biotin and will start again soon. I am convinced that when I was taking that with MSM as soon as my hairs were plucked immediately they would start growing again. My skin care specialist would laugh because every weeks she would have to pluck out and abundance of facial hair. Sometimes I really feel like the bearded lady. It has slowed down since the abscence of biotin but I am going to start again. Just another part of the hair growing process.

Ok ladies lets get down to the thick of it (excuse the pun lmao) For the official record: The answer to the original question is NO. The pubic hair is NOT the same as our head hair. The hair on our head takes longer to grow than our pubic hair, leg and arm hair, and under arm hair. These textures are the same and so is the curl pattern (with the exception of leg and arm hair because they have no curl pattern unless you let it grow to amazing length lol) Underarm, pubic hair and leg and arm hair grow back 2 weeks after it is cut or dipilitated (hair removal cream). I have tried creams that say they retard the growth of hair but they really don't. By contrast our head of hair is way softer than the pubic hair and grows slower. This is fact ladies, not me just spouting internet stuff. I learned this the second day of cosmetology school and that was back in 2001. Hope that answers the question :-)

Look but do they feel the same? I know mine is way coarser than the hair I have on my head and the curl pattern is looser than my head hair, and damn it I wish I could grow 2 inches of hair in 2 weeks like it does down there lmaoLOL I would be right as rain if it did.

I have another question then I think I will be done with this topic. My hair takes days to grow back when cut but although it grows faster than head hair what is it to stops it after it gets to a certain length. If we never shaved another day in our lives it still would not get to the lenght of the head hair.
On the other hand I would not like to find out whether that is true or not.

Your friend is quite inaccurate.  Everyone's pubic hair is coarser than the other hair on their body.  It is supposed to be and while the texture of it may resemble nature hair texture, it is not.  Pubic hair is strategically placed where it is, because it is supposed to protect those parts of the body that it covers.  Head hair is to protect the scalp, skull, etc...and it is conducted by a different set of hormones, just like eyebrow hair and eyelashes.  This is why your eyelashes are only so long and also why your pubes are only so long.  Head hair can essentially grow extremely long.  The texture that hair is on different parts of the body depend on the placement and its function.

Ok, so why does my downstairs match my upstairs?  My downstairs is actually a tad bit straighter than upstairs, but those things grow strong and fast.  I should do a side by side, but then I would have to wait for some to grow back....TMI?

MsToya you're not the only one.  I think 4b's have hair that more closely matches pubic hair.  My newgrowth looks EXACTLY like my pubic hair...its even the same thickness and coarseness.  Stern%20Smile

Whoa, hold up!  Speak for yourself, speak for yourself.
LOLLOLLOL

My natural hair looks nothing like my pubes.  Hell they grow in patches, they're not soft, and weird looking.  Not exactly straight and not exactly curly either.  My hair has no curls, VERY soft, and doesn't grow in patches.  It's thick, thank God.

LOL
