Hi Stephshe:
I haven't been to the forum for quite sometime. Your hair is awesome. I have a CF , but it does not smooth out my new growth well. I heard Hawaiian Silky works better. Have you tried Hawaiian Silky before? Any comments or advice?ll

So I used the organicals deep conditioning creme today, I wanted to use it as a leave in but it is too thick so I ended up just rinsing it out after a few minutes before styling (I didn't wash today)

First thoughts - I didn't leave it in long enough, or comb to test the slip but I was able to run my hands through my hair easily with it in. It seems the slip this base is loved for does exist. It will be even better tomorrow when I wash my hair hopefully.

It is moisturizing, just in the few minutes I had it in my hair, my hair felt slippery and coated - but once rinsed it felt detangled and soft.

I like it so far, the rest test comes when I clarify, and DC under heat with it though.

So after having my "touchably soft conditioning gel" in all day, in the AC building I work in - I have to say it is def. moisturizing. It held the curls nicely and kept my hair very soft for the 6 hours I worked, and then even when I got home. They didn't dry out and frizz up like when I wear the kinky curly curling custard.

I really really like this gel, I am going to keep using my sample (which might last me a few weeks as you don't need alot of the gel...and see if I keep getting consistent results....if I do, this is def. staple potential.

Oh and I also managed to use the organicals DC sample as a leave in today, under the gel. I just wet my hair and used a tinyyyyy bit of it so it wouldn't be too thick. It is moisturizing. I thought I would have time to shampoo today, but I might have to hold off and do it tomorrow.

So I actually did get a chance to do a quick clay treatment, and shampoo last night.

I didn't do my usual aphogee 2 min. step - and just DC'd with the organicals deep conditioning cream.

The slip:::: was amazing, it was almost "too" slippery, I had sections of hair slipping out of my hand quite often while trying to detangle that section lol. Not a bad thing at all honestly, it is very veryyyyyy VERYYY slippery.

The moisture::: I'm not sure if I can judge the moisture correctly, since I didn't wash the clay out throughly enough, I'm about to go rinse my scalp right now a bit. But when rinsing the DC out my hair it felt buttery soft. I will have to test it out for another couple of washes through. Those 1oz sample sizes stretched out more than I thought since you really only need a tiny amount.

Overall, I can see and hope it will be able to be a good staple DC because I'd love to buy it in bulk and scent it however I like. I'm also looking at that ingredientstodiefor spray leave in conditioner now. =P

Frankly I am getting bored of shea moisture ;_; lol The only thing from shea moisture that will never leave my rotation is their curl and shine shampoo, I have yet to even wonder if another shampoo has that much slip, and moisture, and leaves my hair semi-detangled and shinyyyyy after..I wubs it x__x;;

But their leave ins are too heavy for my fine strands and make my hair look helmet-y, their DC's never have enough slip to ever detangle with.

They seem to have good moisturizers though but the bottles are just too small for that price, I just want a nice bulk moisturizer that I can scent any way I want..^^;;

Okay so today was super super hot, my scalp was so sweaty, I could feel the sweat running down my scalp honestly. LOL So I had to clean it, I used my Shea moisture african black soap shampoo, I  wanted to do a deeeeeeeep cleaning, and that is my staple clarifying shampoo.

My hair was squeaky clean as usual, and then I used my aphogee two minuted, detangled, sat under the dryer for 20 minutes maybe.

Rinsed, applied my organicals DC

Now that I have done my "routine" washing - I can give an accurate opinion on it.

1. You don't need alot of that conditioner, it's very slippery and spreads wonderfully - it makes the hair "wet" basically, even if you applied it only to slightly damp hair it would soak the hair I think.

2. THE SLIP IS AMAZINGGGG....

3. After sitting back under my dryer for maybe 15 minutes, and then leaving it on a bit longer - rinsing, I can tell it is very moisturizing.

It gives me a different much 'lighter' moisturized feeling than my WC deep conditioner, I'm not sure how to describe it...I guess the organicals rinses cleaner is what I mean. So you don't have weighed down hair.

I wanted to get the full effect so after rinsing I just seal with my grapeseed oil - and my hair is almost full dry now, and dried as soft and fully as it does with the WC. I will use up my organicals DC samples and then decide whether to buy the bulk size or not. It is def. staple material though

I'm also looking into making my own pomade. It's just I'm not sure what makes that Nubian heritage pomade work so well on my hair, the shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie was thick buttery product and never gave me such good hold, or definition. I think it may be the wax in the pomade...I'm gonna experiment a bit.

Okay I love this organicals DC.....

It is awesome, I used a tiny bit today as a leave in- no special styling or anything like that, just as a leave in under the tiny bit of grapeseed oil I used.

My hair is nice and has soft defined curls (no hold as it is not a gel) but I have never had such moisture and great results from a leave in a day or two after shampooing and dc'ing.

I love it=D

I am sooooo ordering this is bulk, it's the perfect leave in, and a great DC, and detangler.
The only problem I have now is settling on a scent >.> lol I am ordering my scents from wholesalesupplies, and they have TOO MANY to pick from T.T lmao I want something nice and clean though. :D

Just ordered the 16oz size of the "touchably soft conditioning gel" base.

Now I am struggling to find a scent I want for the gel T.T lol wholesalesupplies has way too many scents I swear, I told myself I am going to get two scents, and two 8oz containers. I end up with 11 scents in my shopping basket, and have to start all over >.>

I just don't know what kind of scent I want yet ;__;

I like clean 'basic' scents for hair products and other body products that wont fight with a stronger perfume but I like "sweet" and feminine clean scents :P lol GRRRR!

So yesterday I did my first hot oil treatment, I had never had one of those done before.

I just used jojoba oil, alot of castor oil, and a tiny amount of grapeseed oil.
Which had me looking at my 16oz bottles like "I should really order 24oz the way I go through oil!"

Anyways, I sat the container with my oil in a pot of warm water - nothing fancy I just wanted it to loosen up and be warm, and easy to apply to my hair (since most of it was castor oil it was pretty thick)

Anyways I applied it in sections, and I applied it HEAVYYYY....like I didn't stop applying until my hair was soaked in oil...lol well I mostly wanted my end soaked.

I put on my shower cap, sat under my dryer for about 20 minutes or so.

Rinsed in warm water, and then rinsed with cool water..

My hair drying felt as if I had DC'd with a really moisturizing DC, it was shiny, and curled up nice and defined without any gel or anything being applied to it after.

I can def. see these treatments becoming a bi-weekly thing for my hair :D

Also my "touchably soft conditioning gel" 16oz size should be here tomorrow ^^ yays!

Well ingredientstodiefor.....certainly lives up to it's name I must say.
Their conditioner bases that I have tried so far - are AMAZING.....

I am going to write an longer review now on them.
The bases are all from ingredientstodiefor.com (under "unscented bases")

1. Organicals Deep Conditioning Creme
http://www.ingredientstodiefor.com/item.php?item_id=1001&category_id=53

I really like this, I am going to be focusing on moisture, and more moisture for the next month or so to get my elasticity levels back to where they should be (I didn't OD on protein but my moisture levels are not where I feel they should be right now) and I will be using whats left of my samples of this after using a moisturizing shampoo.

This conditioner has really amazing ingredients, so that it is able to work as a leave in and a great deep conditioner. It gives really nice shine whether rinsed or left in, the SLIP is INSANEEEE....like seriously, I remember when I first got my gina curl thinking that Joico balm had crazy slip....this conditioner....goes on feeling 'light' and easy, and your hair will start to slip out of your hands, the moisture is from I can tell so far right on par with the AO white camelia conditioner I think. But I still need to use it more as a DC to really tell.

2. Touchably Soft Conditioning Gel
http://www.ingredientstodiefor.com/item.php?item_id=1084&category_id=53

Is this a perfect gel? Nope!

However it is perfect for my styling routine - as it gives good moisture, and nice shine, and a good enough hold. This gel is going to be used as my primary gel as it makes my hair feel better than ANY of my other 'staple' gels so far - and it does what two of my gels only did together...which is provide me with MOISTURE, and Shine.

I only got those results when mixing my shea moisture curling souffle and my kinky curly custard. Which resulted in often weighed down, hair that would tangle and what not.

This gel feels like it lays my strands flat and seperates them, so it is a gel that is best with a HEAVY curling creme, or butter, or pomade used directly under it for clumping if your strands are fine like mine. So it works perfectly with my NB pomade, and when I experiment with butters I will have only two products needed for styling.

Also I just rinsed this gel out of my hair, it rinses SO CLEAN....and I swear, I am not just hype over this gel - whenever I rinse it out it looks like I just gave myself a very light protein treatment. This COULD be bad for those whose hair doesn't like alot of protein but my hair needs a light does of protein, maybe not daily but my strands are fine so the protein wont hurt when I moisturize as well.

I really really like this gel. =D

3. Creme Conditioner
http://www.ingredientstodiefor.com/item.php?item_id=102&category_id=53

Now I admit I just ordered one sample of this, just to have something to go along with my bulk order of the gel.

I didn't wash my hair yet, but like I said I just rinsed it really well - and my sitting with this in my hair under a plastic cap. *shrugs* I can't give a great review on it on not freshly washed hair as far as moisture goes.

But as far as slip....it has alot of slip just like the organicals DC - it smells like shea butter :P lol
I can tell regardless that it is very moisturizing, it's another one like the organicals DC that goes on 'clean' meaning when you work it in good it doesn't look white at all. I like that >.< lol

I'm gonna leave this in a for a bit since it's so hot today the coolness feels good....so far though I like it ^___^

Right now I am looking at butters, and going to try making my own 'sticky pomade' butter only I want to try hemp seed butter, and mango butter, and of course shea butter. =D I also need to buy more oils.
