Hey breBR3bre, have you tried lightly misting your hair before applying your plastic cap? That may help with retaining moisture/heat while you GHE.

Ciara2015 I've only had one sew-in, so the advice I can offer is slim...have you tried searching the weaves section? Also, there are a lot of great info vids on youtube dealing with weave maintenance.

Update: I texlaxed, blow dried, and straightened my hair this wknd. My hair feels thicker and healthier. I don't like the maintenance of straight hair, so I'll probably wash my hair again, cornrow it, and wig it within the next few days.

BLOWN DRY:

STRAIGHTENED:

@GoodGirlGoneGr8 your flat ironed hair looks beautiful - I wish I could get mine that silky straight, but if I could I would probably be flat ironing a lot more often so it's probably a good thing!! Tongue

You have made great progress lengthwise too Clap

Ladies Help! I am tanking!!! I can't seem to get it together! Have shamefully not been on my regimin. I can't seem to get back on my protective styling! And 30 min of deep condish has turned into like 10. I will never meet my goals like this. Someone inspire me! Pls help! :-(

Whenever I start falling off I do a google search on WL hair. Seeing all that long hair and knowing it could be mine if I stop slacking always makes me kick my reggie back into gear. That will definitely inspire you!

Mini update: I just washed my hair & deep conditioned. I let my hair air dry & then I blow dried on low heat... I gave myself a little trim b/c I had a few splits but I've gotten rid of them since I've washed & trimmed, my hair feels really soft & strong I can't wait to see how much my hair has grown once I get my next perm (Oct. 4th)

I prepped my hair for a sew-in by cutting half an inch off my ends(just a precaution) and doing a light protein treatment. But this sew-in is horrible. I'm taking it down and going back to my bun.
