As  Stylist,I personally am not a fan of the net. If someone is not experiencing hair lost and need a net so that a stylist can sew tracks onto areas without any hair. Cons: It carries more bacteria because it can hold shampoo/conditioner build ups, braids take longer to dry, contains more odor.
I personally think a net is for " a lazy stylist". It allows stylist to braid bigger then throw a net over your braids to try and flatten them down afterward. It also allows a stylist to not sew tracks close enough together because your scalp is not exposed.
Not using a net allows your braids to dry quicker, your able to oil your scalp or scratch easier. I have been able to convert clients who have sworn by nets in the past. It is a personal choice but these are def some pros and cons.

The material and structure is similar to a regular wig cap, but its a weaving net. Makes for easier manipulation when scratching, moisturizing, etc.

For the ladies that do use nets, how do yall wash? Do you not wash your hair while it's in a net?? Dead I'm one of those once or twice per week type girls and I need to be able to get down in there and scratch. I workout a lot and my scalp sweats like a fat man's arm pit. LOL My braids tend to fall quickly but I just dunno if I can do a net and not be able to get to my itchy scalp with my fingers or wash it.

With an applicator bottle. Put the product in the bottle and apply it then rub it in.

Really? I want to use one for a wig.

I think that by using a net it allows your installs to last longer and its less messy. What I mean by that is that without a net, when its time to wash or scratch in your scalp you are pulling hair out from your bases braids and all in all are making the braids looser. For these reasons your installs may not less as long if you were to have used a net. I understand that it can be hard to scratch or moisturize your scalp the way that you may want to but there is always an applicator bottle!LOL
