Topic: natural hair growth challenge Posted: Apr 22 2014 at 1:22pm |
I don't know about any of you ladies, But I've really fell off my hair growth regimen. So I want to create a challenge for us members with natural hair. The goal of the challenge is to retain as much length as possible until the new year (January 1 2015). The rules are simple: - wear your hair in a Protective style using your natural hair or fake hair ( braids, twists, wigs, afro puffs, buns, sew ins, etc.) what ever benefits your hair.
- prepoo & Deep condition @ least every 2 weeks
- moisturize daily (as often as your hair needs)
- oil your scalp with your choice of oil.
- check in once a week. share your struggles, improvements or goals that you have achieved
- document your journey through IG, fotki, fb, this page or whatever you choose ( if your comfortable with sharing add the link or your username)
- please state your regimen (if your using a growth aide, state what you plan to use)
if I've left anything that may be beneficial feel free to chime in. The challenge will start May 1st and ends January 1st.

I'll join ! Havent been here in yrs ! For the past 2-4 yrs ive been really neglecting my natural hair hence why my hair hasnt really grown. Trying to get my hair mbl by the end of the yr. Hair stats: Length: grazing bsl (stretched) Hair type: 4a/4b
regimen: -Co wash hair 2-3 times a week -shampoo wash and deep condition hair once per week -moisturize hair 1-2 times per day followed by a sealant -massage scalp daily (1-2 minutes) -keep hair in protective/ low manipulative styles
Revisiting my old regimen because thats what worked for me before. Will post my current hair length pic in my fotki soon. Till then HHG !

I will join too. I was sort of MBL last September with stringy ends but I gave myself a necessary trim and ended back at BSL. So, I want to get to a fuller MBL or WL by Jan 2015
