Why thank you! I decided to take a different approach. I had a feeling people would be sensitive about this so I made up my mind from the jump I was gonna keep my hands clean. LOL

I just think that sometimes on here it's hard to have an abstract or hypothetical conversation without people personalizing things and assuming ulterior motives. If what I posted in the OP is something I genuinely wanted to point out and I wanted to learn about people's views on it while being polite about it, people shouldn't be trying to make this about my perceived character flaws. It seems like a cop out to me or a non-answer. Basically when people feel backed into a corner they start calling names. If a person has a solid viewpoint on a topic it should speak for itself. No character assassination necessary. Discredit the idea, not the person presenting it.

^^^I said all this to say that I am genuinely interested in people's views on this, and this being a sensitive topic it could easily devolve into bitter name calling, and rebuttals against accusations while the point is conveniently being circumvented. That would be self defeating and that's not what I'm here for. But thanks to all who shared their honest thoughts without throwing shade.

But enough about that! This is a hair thread and not a farewell cruel board thread and I'm not going anywhere. LOL

The funny thing is, when your hair grows long, it can mimmick the hang down of straightened hair (meaning that even though my hair is natural, it doesn't fro out, but hangs down due to length and getting rid of the layers. It was really just a preference so that I wouldn't have layers and I can maximize the thickness of my ends.

interesting...i may actually try this...hmmmm
