This is all I ever used when I was natural, I don't know where the need for all the extras came fromt. I side eye all these folks out here wanting to be so damn natural yet they stay buying custard, gel, pudding, and cremes to "lay down their hair".

I keep telling ppl that all the these products we put on our hair are unnecessary...

I dont even use conditioner anymore unless im oil rinsing, which is done more during the summer...And I DC like twice a month with food LOL

It's been, Mud Wash >water/aloe juice or rose water > oil

DASSIT

and if I wanna use a styling product it's one of my flaxseed mixtures

Less is more

Good thread topic.

IA that alot of products falsely advertise popping curls out of hair as if my 3c-4b hair will magically be coily the instant I use it.  And the products are getting more expensive as more women are seeing the cost savings and freedom that natural hair gives us.

Sally's debuted some ridiculous product line with stuff costing 13-$20 a jar about 8 mos ago.Sleepy  I've been natural since 2005, and my product junkie addiction had shrunk over the years now that I know what products work for me that don't burn a hole in my checking accountLOL
