I don't really feel that much different than others, but I guess that's because I'm mostly surrounded by people that understand how I am and respect that and I do the same. My BFF is completely different from me, extroverted and impulsive but we get along great. I tend to find similarities rather than focus on differences.
To the second, yuuup I've been called cold a few times by friends when they come to me for advice on things like family issues and relationship problems. I'm more ruled by my head than my heart. They've always appreciated it though, because often they are caught up in how they are feeling and don't consider the other side of things. I mean, yeah I'm not dismissive of their emotions, it's more from a "so yes this is the problem, how are you going to move forward?" type of thinking. I mean I don't have a lot of patience for people who complain but stay in the same place.
