Sorry it's taken me so long to upload but here are the pics of the braids I had done.

They held up really well for the holiday and were the perfect choice as I spent most of my time in  water.

My natural hair reverted which you can see from the pics but the braids didnt come loose or anything.

I would defo do this again for a holiday. I have my hair in long twists now using Marley Braid Hair

It's the last 7 pics

Hey Ladies,

I ordered some bulk hair from my CV - 12", 16", 18" and 22" and thought I would share.

It was supposed to be coarse hair with a noticable wave pattern...

I got this: http://public.fotki.com/Salacious/kinky-bulk-hair/                      Ouch

I am completely happy with the texture of the hair but not the wave pattern.

I'm considering boiling the hair after getting some advice form the ladies downstairs...

Anyways, I will be having this braided in next Sat or Sun so will post pics then Embarrassed

Hey, it's KS hair processed to 'wavy' so in my opinion, it is defo kinky something LOL.

But as mentioned in my OP, it is not wavy enough for my liking hence why I am considering boiling some curls into it myself.

Hi CherryAde,

I am currently speaking with a few vendors in regards to purchasing some bulk human hair for tree braids.

May I ask how much you spent on all the bundles so that I have some comparitives?

you can send me a pm if you dont wish to divulge the amount in the thread.

\will you be doing micros with this hair?

Thanks

Hey,

I paid about $294 inc delivery to the UK and paypal fee's. I ordered 16oz in total and used different lengths to get the layered effect without having to cut... saves money too!

I also took into account the fact that I would lose 1-2 inches of hair when folding over to braid if that makes sense.

I'll be doing small/medium sized braids... Not sure if they will be classified as micro's though lol.

What type of prices are you being quoted and what lengths are you considering?

Been considering buying from a vendor for braid bulk, considering I'm in extension braids for about half a year or so when I calculate. But I don't mind old kanekalon for $2 a jumbo pack, I'm set LOL good luck on boiling I don't think I would though if you plan to reuse. might wanna check weaves

I usually use kanekalon but just wanted that extra bit of 'specialness' for my hols seeing as it will be getting wet etc... I don't wanna spend half my time detangling!

I spoke to the ladies in the weave section and they all suggested I wash to see the true pattern first... I've since decided against boiling it - Too many risks especially seeing as I plan on colouring too. Confused

I am going to reuse the hair regardless and if I like the overall outcome of the braids, I may never go back to kanekalon!

Hey Cherry Ade,

the quotes I received were more expensive as I am looking for longer hair 18-20 inches and curly/wavy texture.  I was hoping that i would only require 10-12 ounces of hair...are you using the entire 16 ounces on one install or is this for several uses?

If your lengths are all longer than its bound to cos more because i only ordered 12, 16, 18, 22.

I ordered 16oz as i was told that when you reuse the hair you lose a little each time - i've updated my fotki with pics of the hair wet... It shows the true wave pattern
