Couldn't have said that better myself. Not to offend but I'm amazed at how many folks are seemingly obsessed by this.

I'm sorry but the ability to recommend the correct product for hair type is a farce because there is no professional/scientific chart that defines "types" of African American hair, in which we can reference. How can you properly recommend something from a makeshift chart Lamp (no offense to the original poster). A chart that goes to the extreme for type 3 hair but falls short for type 4. I can't buy into that Sleepy.

the last pic is the front of my hair when its dry
and in the other ones my hair is damp

my hair is dry which leads my to believe i have 4b hair
still, i think i see more of a "s" pattern rather than a "z" pattern
..and a "s" pattern is more of a 4a..?

let me know what you think
and If anyone can help,,,,,please do
much appriciation <3

Basically in my mind the idea anyone with "highly textured" hair can use the same products. Whether the curls are 2b or 4b you still have hair that is NOT silky and soaks up moisture and the curls don't clump together 100% (looks frizzy but really is not).

Anyone with highly textured hair can benefit from thicker conditioners and would require extra work to "define" curls. The size of coils really isnt important IMO unless you need to know what size comb or what type of brush to use.

The products you use depends on the texture of your hair. Silky hair = less products that are more watery. Coarse hair = more products that are thicker in consistency.

Yes yes yes this is me so any suggestions on conditioners. I was considering Mixed Chicks but I'm seeing mixed reviews. But thank you for defining my hair for me lol

bump cause I still need product help
