Laurel is what alot of folks consider ideal location because it is dead smack in the middle of Baltimore and DC. It also isnt too expesive. You guys plan on buying as soon as you arrive?

I would love to live in laurel. It is in a good location & I have family there and near by. We will be staying with a family member because we are moving in a month, but we are looking to buy now. My parents are helping us out so they gave us a budget & told us to start looking.

I know!!!! I want a closer location preferably, but I also havent decided between the two so a central location works.

S/o's job is in DC though so we will probably be closer to DC in the end despite what I decide.

Im from Bowie. Its a great area. People seem to think its the nicest place in PG, well it might be but I think its a great start. Avoid Landover, Glenarden, SE DC, & Capitol Heights

you need to go by your gut because ALL OF DC IS UNAFFORDABLE, they are leaving no stone un-turned. look to the areas where you will receive a return on your investment instead of nvm. if you know DMV you see the tide turning on all sectors
