I understand what youre saying. I read it as her meaning her child. However, as a dog owner I understand why she refers to her pet as he baby as well. I feel some kinda way about a person loosing both but my heart sank a little when I thought it was a child. I agree with your suggestion that it might
have been clearer if the title read something like 'My baby (dog) is dying' but it is what it is. People who are curious or concerned with come in a see she's talking about a dog. Others will skip over it. *Shrugs*
