Jack.Someone was having a rough life and we brought them to stay with us. our monkey was very smart and helpful, and he helped to fold clothes, stir the pot etc. One day he was playing hide and seek in her baby's bath tub, and she got upset and slapped him. Well he was small, and she damaged his brain. Blood trickled down his nose, then he died. She was promptly kicked out on the street.

I'm sorry to hear of this. I know the love of a pet and the loss of a pet. I will keep you lifted in prayer but know if he was sick this is best so he wont suffer. Remember, in time this will not sting as bad. I lost one cat in a fire and one through a medical condition. It hurts just like a natural person.
Remember, when you are ready, and that time will come...remember that the shelter has many loving animals that need a home and are waiting to be resuecued and loved.

Thanks so much for your kind words. I cried like a baby all day but I did get to hold his paw as he passed on. It looked like he was sleeping so peacefully. He was the sweetest thing you'd ever meet. I am really missing him right now. I keep calling his name thinking he's going to mosey his way into the doorway like he usually does. This is so hard but thanks for your kind words. It helps a little to know that others feel for my loss.

He's gone y'all. My heart is tired. I'm really missing him right now. I loved him more than anything. If I could trade everything I have just to get him back, I'd do it in an instant Eta:thanks so very much to everyone who stopped in to say kind words. It really helps more than you know.

i know the feeling. last year my mittens had to be put to sleep due to an infection that caused her organs to fail. it was hard because i grew up with her even though i still have my odie i think im ready to adopt another but every time i go to a shelter i find myself leaving empty handed because i dont feel that bond like i do with them. just remember that hes in a better place now and the suffering has ended. cry your eyes out until you cant cry any more its the only way the healing will begin.
