If that were the case, we wouldn't have homeless people in america. Everyone would be working or on a program.

Exactly. It's just classic entitlement issues. Be grateful that you're even able to pay that amount of rent to live in a place of your choice. It's just like so many folks I hear saying they wished they qualified for food stamps....usually the ones who make more than decent salaries.

it is classist, I will admit that

people move to certain places to be around certain things and people

sometimes that includes income, other times race, etc.....

I wouldn't wanna live near a bunch of section 8 tenants...

In a lot of cases paying 50 dollars for rent makes people less appreciative of what they have.... and more likely to cause problems...

I disagree. It's just a mentality and that's why a group of rich folk are called the "new rich" and "new Money"

Old people are on section 8 and other programs all the damn time and their facilities are always nicer. Even the grounds are always nicer.

they are in the same income bracket?

middle class and working poor aren't in the same class

but if you mean both are not in the 1% or upper middle class, then yes they are in the same grouping I guess

I am sure there income brackets are not very different. People will shade the poor and only be making $5 more an hour.

Unless they just don't have a job.
