HUMILIATED Kaylin Ransom says the justice system has turned against her after she gained media attention for looking too glamorous in her jail booking photos.
After a recent re-arrest on probation violation charges, the 22-year-old Ocala hairdresser alleges that she was unfairly punished when police made her remove her WEAVE for a new mugshot! She says it’s an attempt to embarrass her for her vanity.
Orlando Sentinel reports:
With only two weekends left on her 90-day sentence, Ransom was re-arrested Dec. 3 and charged with violating her probation after she was accused of being away from home on three weekdays in November without first getting permission.
Ransom says she was forced to remove her weave for an unflattering photo as payback for the media attention of her glamorous booking photos. Jail officials deny that.
She was placed in a holding cell for more than seven hours until she agreed to be photographed without her weave.
“I was physically, like, made to take the picture,” Ransom said in a recent jailhouse interview. “They were trying to humiliate me just for the media. It’s just because of the article.”
Last month, Ransom made headlines after she was seen looking glamorous in more than 20 different mugshots on a weekends-only jail sentence after she agreed to a plea agreement for allegedly hitting a rival woman with a baseball bat and pushing her kids out of a car.
She had only two more weekends left to complete the terms of her 90-day sentence–which even allowed her to put on a full face of makeup and style her hair for every booking.
And now, Ransom is being held in jail until her probation violation charges court hearing on Dec. 23.
But she doesn’t plan to let jailhouse officials or the court system get the best of her. “These people,” she said, “just have to respect my pretty.”
