Lol LiteBrite i see you are a fancy inner loop gal...where you @, RiverOaks huh?lol....i mean the apts around 288 and 610,too much foot traffic coz of the rodeo and other reliant events. I had friends who lived in condos over there at the junction and still had issues but sporadic even though those apts & condos have security. But the Alexan Lofts over there are nice,i considered them at one point. But 288 further down, away from 610, is better imo.

yes i take 15mins on 90A....45mins commute is for suckers who get on 59,which i dont touch with a 10ft pole, lol

I've moved around a lot... whenever you move to a new city its always best to live near where you work. You can even sign a short lease if you want but wait until you get to know the area before you listen to others about where to live. I would also recommend using an apartment Realtor to save time on searching for apartments. They are free to use and will help you narrow your search down.

Nothing in Texas is close...you always to have to drive to get some where. You will not find an area where your job, your church, and the club/hot spot are all in 10 minutes of each other. Your income is the first priority. Make sure you can get there everyday...and the rest will fall in place.

I agree with Pappadeaux' food being over rated. Landrys is so much better. But the drinks at Pappadeaux are some of the best I've ever had!   I prefer the Swamp Thing.

I've been in SA going on 8 years and have never been to NIOSA but I'm supposed to be going Friday night.

I miss the Taste Of Chicago and all the other festivals in Chi.
If it wasn't for the amazing cost of living in SA, I would've been long gone.

Hopefully, I'll be able to sell my house next year. 4 bedrooms is a waste for just one person. Daughter moving to live with her Dad and son headed to the military.

Houston is likely where I'll move to.

More South (closer to Mexico). About 3 hours away from Houston

Just like Goodm3 said, NOTHING is close. You NEED a car, with A/c
OMG I don't have AC, I'm gonna be sitting inside all day no joke until I get it fixed.

People getting robbed does happen, Home invasions, A lot of crime, there's so many people in Texas.
Also so much land, a lot of times the perpetrators are not found.

Like Cream1970 after SA i'd like to move to either Houston or Austin. Probably Austin not too far away and the economy is boooming.
