Does anyone else find milk in particular to be fattening? I always lose weight when I cut down on milk regardless of what else I'm eating, it is really strange. | I find it bloats me because I'm lactose intolerant. But I think milk is fine in moderation. I notice my weight is better when drinking almond milk. I have yogurt and cottage cheese in moderation.
A lot of celebs cut diary and carbs to lose weight quickly. |
When I cut it out completely I lost a lil over 10 pounds without changing anything else. Recently I went from having about 2 cups a day to 1.5 cup every other day (in my protein shake) and a definitely notice that I am leaner. |
I think that's how I got so skinny freshman year of college.
I had just found out that I was lactose intolerant so I switched from cow to almond milk and ate far less ice cream. Next thing I know, I was the smallest I'd been in a long time, and I wasnt nearly as active as I had been in high school.

I rarely venture over this section but this thread gives me life! I'm so motivated by everone! I've been stuck in a months long plateau after losing 77lbs but would like to lose 25ore. This thread makes me want to get back on track and mindful of what I eat. Processed food is day devil.

I was told try take 5 htp because I sometimes have insomnia and it's a natural supplement to help you sleep. Well it does help me sleep but I noticed its reduced my appetite .. Did some research and found out one of the side effects is appetitie suppression. Well I ain't complaining... This sh*t is amazin .. Makes me sleep, enhances my mood and less appetite ..

Good luck and I found when I hit a plateau a big juicy steak and a change in my work out gets things going again. This is not for everybody but to those hiding in the shadows who have had WLS or just interested in getting off the heavy carbs and want to lose weight again you might want to check this out: http://www.5daypouchtest.com/index.html

I don't like working out. Never have and probably never will. I've always wanted to be strong and flexible though. So I think I figured out some ways to incorporate exercise into my regular routine.
-When walking around the house, do walking lunges (or skip or side squats) instead of regular steps. -I am very sedentary (I spend all day sitting or lying down basically). From now on, every 20-30 mins I'll get up and move. Do a plank, wall sit, squats...something. -Squat while peeing and squat while brushing my teeth. -While sitting, sit in the poses I know that will stretch my muscles and increase my flexibility. -While cooking or standing and waiting for something, I'll do calf raises.
Anybody else have ideas or exercises that can be incorporated into daily life?
