to adult functions? This is something that bothers me so much! I was at this dinner party last night and this mom bought her 12 year old to the resturant he was just sitting their taking it all in Confused...
on a side note I have another friend who consistanly exposes her pre-teen daughter to adult content like in movies and conversation and everything... She claims she wants her daughters to know everything because growing up she was sheltred and didnt know anything??? NOW her daughter is starting to act out and she doesnt see the problem.  Anyone know anyone like this or have thoughts on the issue?

Well kids are being desensitized more but it's up to that parent how they want to raise their child. Personally my mom taught me that children don't get involved in adult things. I don't agree with bringing kids to adult functions.

The parents may enjoy exposing their chid to adult experiences however the adults may not want to be exposed to their child.

Be considerate.

I don't like it.

Please keep your kids out of grown folks events..

..and like pets, don't bring them to my house without asking first.

Its all about balance. Some parents don't like to leave their kids with any and everybody, so they will drag them along with them. In one breath the parent ain't sh!t for leaving the child with grandma, some cousins or a nicca she just met, and in the next breath she ain't sh!t for having the child with her side at all times, "inconveniencing" her peers.

Parents have to use wisdom in these situations and know where to draw the line *kanye shrug*

If you don't have a sitter, you need to face the fact that you can no longer do as you did when you were childless.
