Even my smallest tattoo took at least 30min. I don't understand how a mother could be okay with allowing her child to be maimed - and yes that's maiming in this context - for that long.

Methinks this would be considered acceptable had these people been indigenous Africans or Islanders and this was an ancient practice

Getting your baby boy circumcised for cosmetic reasons is worse than getting him tatted. Both are horrible IMO

Ehhh not for me, and I tend to try to be very open minded with the whole "well you know it's a cultural thing". I wouldn't pierce a baby's ears either. I got my ears pierced when I was 3, but I clearly remember it so I wouldn't do it any earlier than that.

Foot binding used to be a cultural custom as well...doesn't mean that the custom should be reintroduced.

My fiance got circumcised when he was 9 bc he got stuck in his zipper. After remembering all the pain associated with healing, as well as the pain of getting stuck in the zipper...he said point blank, if we have a boy, that baby's getting circumcised in his infancy.

Did not watch!!!! the mother and the artist/ parlor was wrong....the artist/parlor should've walked away from that money how can you do that to a chile....I hope they all get in trouble!

U gotta live in a village and/or live in a place that is not the states to get culturally tatted and in the old fashioned way for this to get a halfway pass. Even if this was a cultural tat nobody would believe just based upon what the parents look like.

That said. Sucks for the child. And that was a "no watch" post.
