A lot of former presidents come out and say they did not enjoy being president.
Jimmy Carter for instance, it's been noted that he did enjoy "playing politics" and it's a major reason why he had trouble with congress bc he didn't want to do what takes to appease them.it is often said that he was a better man than he was president.
George Washington did not want to be president .
William Taft thought it was more glorious to preside over the Supreme Court than to be a president.
Colin Powell is to have had everything it takes to be a terrific president except the will and arrogance to run .
Not saying its true just saying its not unheard of.
I've heard this from some losers of the presidency also.
On a smaller scale Senator Jim Demint left the senate because he is more of an idealogue not a legislator.
He says he doesn't really even like politics.

Jimmy Carter might be one of the few I believe. However, I do not believe a man who has tried twice, went through a grueling process to even win the nomination and spent so much of his personal funds to become President does not want to become president. A man who did not even prepare a concession speech. *insert guffaw here*
