Little Girl Goes Missing after Father’s Fiancee is Arrested in Fight with Another Woman

Police are on the lookout for 10-year old Jade Morris. The little
girl was in the custody of a woman who was arrested after a stabbing
incident involving her co-worker at a Las Vegas casino. The woman,
50-year old Brenda Stokes, is considered one of the keys to solving the
The little girl was last seen when getting into a car with Stokes,
who is her father’s fiancée. Stokes also goes by the name, Brenda
Wilson. The girl’s mother reported her missing when Stokes returned
without her. That’s also when her mother found out that Stokes had been
arrested in a fight at the Casino.
“Jade went shopping with [Stokes] at about 4:50 p.m., but by 9 p.m.
they had not returned,” Morris’ godmother, Ni’cola Mitchell, told The
Las Vegas police say that Stokes was arrested for slashing the face
of another woman, Joyce Rhone. She used a blade in order to commit the
crime. Stokes told the police that she was going to kill the other
“h**l, yeah,” Stokes told police. “I would have whooped that a*s. I would have killed her. I should have killed her.”
Stokes is being held without bond at the Clark County Detention
Center for battery with a deadly weapon and use of a deadly weapon with
substantial bodily harm, among other charges. Jade Morris, who is still
missing, is described as five feet tall, 70 pounds, with black hair and
a medium complexion. She was last seen wearing blue jeans and a blue
shirt, with a brown jacket.
