Hey guys,

Was wondering if any of you have heard of this technique before my hair stylist used to take the weave before installing it and set it in medium rollers, she then but it in the microwave for a short time the curls would last for a while and it looks really nice too!

Yup! I used to do that with my self-made ponytails before drawstring ponytails became popular. Just set the hair on roller using setting lotion or water and pop in the microwave for about a minute or two depending on the density of the hair. Fab curls in minutes.

Yeah I used to do it when I was younger for my ponytails to give them spiral curls. I stopped doing it because I got to lazy and my mother found out I was putting hair in her microwave and she was not having it at all. Plus when I would leave them in too long and I would have melted plastic rollers stuck in the hair and in the microwave and the smell of burnt hair and plastic in the house was a No-No but it was a great technique I highly recommend it if you have 2 microwaves and time
