Hi. 
Last summer I introduced my friend to aliexpress. I usually do research before I purchase and even then aliexpress has that whole dispute system.

So instead of asking me what to do, or looking on the site for help where she would have clearly saw the dispute option she decided to write to the store. The store told her they'll send her two new bundles of 16 inches but she has to pay for shipping. Then she said I can't afford that right now, can you wait? and they said sure. So when she was able to pay she emailed them again and then they said they can only give her two bundles of 14inches (they also claimed this hair to be way more high quality than the hair they were going to send her before which is why they can only send her 14). They said that Nov 27 and she responded Dec (and Jan) and they haven't messaged her back since. She already made a mistake by not filing a dispute, waiting to long, and waiting to long to reply and now she's asked me for my help and Idk what to do.

I feel bad for even telling her about the site. I personally never had any problems with it. No one explained to me how to use the site, so I figured I didn't have to explain to her about disputes, but I did warn her about the risk and how you should look for reviews on youtube, forums, etc. which has helped me so far (I think she was only relying on the reviews on the site and not doing any kind of research). I know I shouldn't feel personally responsible that this happened to her, but I do.

Don't feel guilty because she didn't heed your instructions. I'm not familiar with aliexpress escrow system so I believe she can't do anything but be at the mercy of the vendor and/or take this as a lesson learned. Maybe next time, you could walk thru the steps for her to get better quality hair and understanding the escrow system.

Yeah, I will definitely explain that more in depth next time if she's even willing to purchase from there again.

Most likely she wouldn't have won the dispute anyways

When using a vendor found off alien press, always pay with PayPal. Most legit vendors will accept Paypal.

Aliexpress does not have your back.

I agree she will be crying on deaf ears disputing it with Aliexpress, they won't do nothing been there done that.  Good Luck with the Vendor too, probably won't help either

Oh wow, that's good to know. Idk if she still has the hair, but I'll ask her. It was during the summer so I don't even think her bank will care.

Tell her take what they are offering at this point she has nothign to lose? or she can pay for the difference between the 14 and 16 if she really wants the 16.  She didt have money for shipping? How much was shipping?
