I am hung on this one. With comedy I always give it a gray area, when done by Black people. The Wayan's as a whole have systematically offended EVERYONE! Blacks, YT's, gays, women, men, deadbeat dads, teen moms, Asians, Hispanics, Italians...you name it. I have been watching re-runs of The Wayan's Bros, and they seem to attack every group that has a stigma attached to it. I will say when they attack Blacks, they seems to attack us with a message attached to it.  For instance, the episode clip I attached has MAJOR stereotype in it.  However, if you were to watch the whole episode you would see that he was hired to do the commercial, the restaurant turned on him for being "coonish" and not knowing it, he in-turn quit the commercials and exposed the writer as a racist on live television.  That is why I never fully accepted the Wayan's as 100% coons...I would say they are 75% coon, they stay focused on Black empowerment most of the time..kinda like vegetarians that eat fish.

I wish some black Americans were more respectful of Africa.

Is it because This is an MTV centered event that people who won are more accepted my America~ I am not trying to take away from anyone's accomplishments but how is a actress going to when over an author?
*this whole show seems weird!
But why does this boil down to an Black Americans VS Africans
I am not going to pretend that we don't have our struggles but I think its unfair to judge our relationship on the behavior of an ignorant Comedian?

AA vs. African threads are always sad for various reasons. Man do the generalizations fly....

what is that supposed to mean? lol what are you doing on this board? I know you are attention seeking but you can do a lot more to inspire rather than try and cause outrage and disrespect! I know deep down you want to be respected rather than disdained
