This is what I never said. Not once. You said it not me.

Just for clarity. Is this the bashing you are talking about? In either event, that post was summarizing you in this thread.

FSU is about to bounce too. They are watching this Maryland move really close to see if we can bring down the exit fee. I also heard the big 10 is trying to poach some other ACC schools. This is only a rumor though. |

I disagree still. But I guess we will see. If FSU
sees us take down the 52 mill exet fee, they are as good as gone. Gtech
is further away from leaving I will admit, but I wont be surprised if
they join us. Delany knows how to entice a school. lol
And my last point still stands, regardless of the exceptions. The tv deals will leave with the schools. |
You kept citing teams following Maryland jumping ship. Especially FSU, after waiting for their exit fee drama. So yes, you implied that Maryland to the Big 10, and their subsequent lowering of the exit fee, would be the first domino to drop. You didn't say those exact words, but you don't have to when we're talking metaphors.

No it doesn't. I just means that it will make it
easier if a school DID want to leave. But if a school leaves it will
have little to do with Maryland. |
And yes I read this.
And again, I disagree with Maryland's exit fee being the holdup with
FSU, or any other ACC team leaving. I don't think they wanna leave. That's my point. Only 2 teams voted against the exit fee in the first place.

no thats not the bashing Im talking about. That was you're constant devaluing of maryland, that not only didn't prove a point, but also wasn't true.
They are jumping ship just like Maryland. Not jumping ship because of Maryland. Key difference. The only thing Maryland will effect is if the exit fee will be high if another college does decide to leave. BUT WE WONT BE CAUSING PEOPLE TO LEAVE. got it? now you can stop putting words into my mouth.

Well quote it then lol.
I got it the first time around. The exit fee still counts as a domino piece in the metaphor. I disagree with you that the exit fee was FSU or anyone else's holdup re: leaving the conference, like you kept insinuating. I never mentioned jumping ship because of Maryland. I mentioned Maryland's departure (because they had the lowered exit fee) being the domino that leads to other teams departing.

And let me add, I believe FSU will court other conferences for leverage, mostly because they know Tobacco Road won't do it for them. But they really would prefer to stay where they are and get Notre Dame committed than jumping into a conference that doesn't fit geographically, just for more tv money right now. |
