Is there any miracle product, magic potion or voodoo chant I can do ove my head so that I can maintain the beautiful coils and curls that I have when my hair is wet even when it's dry?  Nothing I seem to be doing is working..

I have not tried it but I've watched lots of videos on it.
Eco styler gel maybe? I'm sure someone will chime in.
Is this what you mean?

I use kinky curly knot today leave in, then rake thru s'curl gel. Combined it gives my hair a nice shine, and my curls pop. I've tried using several different gels, or knot today and s'curl seperately but they never give the awesome results as when I use them in conjunction. On the days I don't cowash(i cw every other day) I carry a travel size spray/spritz bottle and spritz when my hair looks dry. The water acts as an activator. I love love that I'm no longer afraid for my hair to meet water, lol!

Re; Shingling

You have to use just the right amt of gel, if you loose too little your hair won't look as moisterized or even pop as much. Also the smaller the section(shingle/rake) the more definition.

ok so I tried this shingling thingy..  I am glad Rumbera posted because I was just about to get my hair drier and dry my hair so now I will let it air dry. it does look quite nice right now.. I hope it remains this way once completely dry..

should I keep shaking my hair to make sure it dries evenly?

Make sure you apply an oil to your hair prior to the gel. This will help it keep that moisturized look and yes shaking your head will help with the definition.

NO. Due to the excess water in the hair it looks elongated and frizz free. When the water evaporates its going to shrink wheter you want to or not. There is no product that can prevent the shrinkage unless you want to walk around with wet hair all day

rumbera, thanks for the oil idea, it helped a bit with maintaining curl definition, but was GREAT for giving me a shinier, healthier look

Napp, i believe she is asking more about curl definition and frizz, not shrinkage.
