ok, i've done curlformers before.....i use diluted lottabody on pieces before slipping on curlformers.

i usually sleep over night in them....then wake up and voila!!! beautiful curls!!

now....i cant seem to keep this style for more than a week w/out having to maybe wash and reset the curls again or resort to heat w/ my spiral curling iron....

i want to know if there is a way to maintain the curls? its such a cute, flirty, fast, and easy style.. i usually just use a banana clip and clip up the curls. its summer time, its hot and roots were puffing up and new growth was annoying too....so i want to be curly for part of the summer i think.

is there an easy way to maintain w/ out harming my hair....?

pics of results that i put in my fokti as well.

also...

ok since i always seem to clip up the curls w/ the banana clip....could i leave the banana clip in and just use flexi rods on the parts coming out of the banana clip?

i used curlformers all over my hair though....i dont want it all to be straight looking i want like a volume type look due to pulling up the curls.....

want it to stay exactly how it looks in the picture i posted.

prehaps use a smaller size than you normally use making the curls a tad bit tighter when it does reveal it takes awhile

I curious about this, too.  When the curlformers first come off, the set is beautiful and smooth-- then they get crazy puffy at the roots.  Is there a recommended (primarily natural) product that can help w/ that?

^^^

i have been putting on my silk wrap that i wear nights....but i put on Elasta QP Design Foam on the back part of my hair where the curls are up ....i kept my banana clip in last night and wetted my curls w/ the foam. i keep my curls up though....not down.

its hard to maintain..it does go poofy....and my hair has been getting dry, had to use profectiv root health for dryness . i suspect the curls might come undone maybe by thursday or friday....but i'm ok w/ that. i can redo them by then...

i have to experiment more w/ the curlformers and need to go and buy more of them.

^ A lot of people maintain their curls by wearing them up in a ponytail. I use a claw clip for mine, but I always use big rollers, not curlformers, so it might be a little different.
Do you have a spray on moisturizer that you can use on the curls? It's less manipulation than rubbing one on and with a little shake, your curls can pop again ;)
Good luck! It's a really cute style ;)

Great idea. My hair was really cute day one and day two.. A few fell on day 3 and today is day 4 - I have a headband on pushing them back. I have to redo them for an event tomorrow. I'm thinking about getting the giovanni direct leave-in and using that for moisture. I also bought a silk scarf to use instead of the satin bonnet I was using. I may just loosely wear the silk scarf with the bonnet on top.
