June 5th, 2014BY CLAIRE Lupita Nyong’o beamed at the 2014 Maui Film Festival in a stretch silk dress, custom designed for her by Calvin Klein Creative Director Francisco Costa:
She accessorized with Christian Louboutin Gwynitta sandals, and kept the turquoise tones going down to her verdant mani.
Her sandals boast white, blue, and turquoise tones.
Love the play on color here–and she looks radiant! I think I would’ve liked the dress more if it was a tad shorter. Maybe knee length? What do you think? < method="POST" name="twiigspollvote119894_83169700" ="http://www.twiigs.com/vote" style="border-style: none; clear: none; display: block; : none; : static; visibility: ; height: auto; width: auto; margin: 0px; outline-style: none; padding: 0px; clip: auto; overflow: ; vertical-align: line; : auto; text-shadow: none; word-spacing: normal; -: none; : transparent;">

I wonder how tall she is. She gives me tall and petite, athletic and delicate all at the same time. She's quite the beauty.

I love the dress but I agree it's a little too long.

Lupita Nyong'o Reuniting With Brad Pitt for Post-'Star Wars' Project
 This
is turning out to be a great week for Lupita Nyong'o. On Monday, it was
revealed the recent Oscar winner had joined the cast of J.J. Abrams'
new "Star Wars" entry, and today comes word that she'll also headline
the upcoming film adaptation of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's novel
"Americanah," which she's also set to produce. It
was announced earlier this month Nyong'o had bought the rights to the
movie adaption. She's partnered with Brad Pitt's production house Plan B
(the company responsible for "12 Years a Slave," the film that won the
actress her Oscar), Potboiler and D2 to produce "Americanah." The
novel, winner of the 2013 National Book Critics Circle Award for
Fiction, is an epic love story centered on two young Nigerians, Ifemelu
and Obinze, who return home after years of studying and living abroad. "It
is such an honor to have the opportunity to bring Ms. Adichie's
brilliant book to the screen," Nyong’o said in a statement. "Page after
page I was struck by Ifemelu and Obinze's stories, whose experiences as
African immigrants are so specific and also so imminently relatable. It
is a thrilling challenge to tell a truly international story so full of
love, humor and heart." Nyong'o is set to start shooting "Star Wars:
Episode VII" this summer, followed by work on Jon Favreau's "The Jungle
Book." She'll likely begin work on "Americanah" shortly after.
