I was addressing the choice aspect. Ideally, most women of Nigerian decent would prefer a Nigerian man, but it isn't possible for everyone. It isn't like most of the women dating or married to WM rejected eligible Nigerian men for WM.

Nigerian men aren't high on the "coon scale" but they aren't everywhere. I have dated 2. One moved to LA to pursue acting, and the other wasn't ready for marriage. Some people go back to Nigeria to find a spouse, but the women there are looking for the good ones. They want a come up too. Not someone rich, but someone capable of being stable. I see both points, but it isn't really that hard and fast. Nigerian men are wonderful though. My uncles are very good to their wives. My cousin just finished med school and her SO is in med school too. I see a lot of really positive Nigerian men.

Umm no. I can't speak to the black-white dynamic that much as most of my relationships with white guys were short. But I've DEFINITELY retained my culture and intend to teach my future children about their entire background - the Black and the Hispanic. I was raised to learn about my history and so will my children.

I'm dating a white and he knows some Yoruba phrases and knows how to cook jollof rice. We wlill be visiting Lagos next summer god willing. And it's not even like I'm a super dominant person but obvi my culture is important time and if I'm important to him he will do what he needs to do slash learn to ease in easier to my life
