The free school is still in the top 50, so it's not terrible AND its free. I'd go there! Debt is no fun. No fun at all. |
the free schools aren't even ranked. one is up and coming, the other is OLD but feel out the rankings b/c of poor bar passage rates. |
hmm what about alumni of those schools? tbh debt just sucks and if you want to be a public servant i find no reason for you to have so much debt having a lot of debt might deter you from your goal and make you take a job JUST to pay those loans off unless the school is an ivy league [and not even ALL ivy's] --i wouldn't do it at this time period in the legal sector even government jobs are very very hard to get now w/many offices hiring less than 10 attorneys COUNTRYWIDE
why do you feel you need to go to law school to do the work that you want to do?
|
I don't really. This is something that I want to do. I want to have the knowledge of the law. I can care less about actually being an attorney in court or drafting contracts. I want to teach. I want to advocate. But i know there is a procedure to get to where I am going, law school is the first step.
As for the alum. One option has many distinguished alum in CA due to the history of the school, the other not so much.
I HATE MAKING DECISIONS.

u don't need to go to law school IMO and since you do not need to go, I would go for free
happy bday.

Everything Epitome says.
And if JulieGianni made an appearance somewhere in these 4 pages, co-sign everything she said too.

do you mind telling us the schools? regardless don't get into debt just because you're interested in the law. since most people hate law school you could just get a master's and see if they'll allow you to take some interdisciplinary courses.

My bestfriend once had the same dilemma back in 2004. Go to North Carolina Central for the FREE or Duke School of Law for prestige and better potential... She chose Duke!

I have a friend who went to NCCU law school. Her dad had gone there also. She's a judge now. (same person? )

Hmmm... I wonder, it can't be Judge Timmons, process of elimination- initials-E.B or P.E?? This world is so small,Purp, I somehow feel like you and I are connected somewhere, somehow. I've probably seen you at a Homecoming, Church, hell a Wal-mart,Dogwood Festival, MLK day parade- something lol! If I told you what church I grew up in, you would probably definitely know some of the same people.

lol, you caught me before the edit. But yes, I just know our degrees of separation are far less than 6, probably more like 1 or 2.
