Hello Wonderland. . . Not sure if you're reffering to me however my cousin is the darker one in her family but she's the only one who is pretty.
She mentioned to me that her sisters refer to her as "darkie" I told her she was dark and lovely and I can't say the same for her sisters. She misunderstood me but I'm not about to explain myself.

LOL

your explanation makes sense.  i'm sure you didn't mean anything by it...sometimes ppl are touchy.

This.
I didn't understand why she shot down the girl's idea about doing the article though.

I really hate the insecurities caused by the variations of us. The light, dark situation causes so many negative issues.

There's no such thing as brown people. That's some shyt AAs invented to make themselves feel better about their negroidness. And it used to be that it was non-African dark skinned people who were called brown people anyway
But if you're gonna start playing with words like that, how many people in the world are truly "black", then? Even those that are deemed to be dark-skinned would be dark brown, with a few exceptions

People come in different skin tones.
I dont use the light or dark dichotomy .
I see is light , medium, dark as mere descriptions.

Yeah so I say light, brown ,and dark
