Lengthening menstrual cycle with maca?

Is it possible to lengthen the menstrual cycle with maca? Mine is really short for some reason (23-26 days) and it would really help if my cycle length increased by a few days. I suspect progesterone deficiency. Does maca only increase estrogen, or can it increase progesterone? And since it's an adaptogen and is known to balance hormones, does it only increase the hormones the body is deficient in? I really don't need more estrogen and I don't want to take progesterone shots. Is it safe for teenagers to take it (I'm 17)? Any answers would be appreciated.
