Hi guys!! i have been on this board everyday for like the last six months!! you guys are wonderful and have such an abundance of knowledge. well i wanted to ask for the ladies with weave, how do you lay down your edges and front as your new growth starts coming? i have tried evry gel imaginable, as well as a flat/straightening iron- any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!! thanks ladies

Gels i have tried:

- redken water wax

- fantasia ic ice pomade

- elasta qp glaze

- ic thick n shine

- prostyle

- smooth and shine

I use the good old brown apro gel.  A little bit goes a long way.  If I tie my hair down it is perfect in a few hours.

wow fantasia IC gel works for me...

try ....umm...lol i dont even know what to tell you i cant believe some of those gels didnt work!!

 

but yes when you put the gel on wrap it until its dry or do it at night and sleep on it...and in the morning it should be better

I use Head Wear Phytophusion Pliable Putty.  Or their Waxx Stik but I prefer the putty better.  slicks the beadabees right on down.

I use design freedom mousse it helps to keep my sides smooth, It is alcohol free and I love the stuff!!!

Girl, I use my husbands "Murrays" wave cream...gel...wax....whatever it is, it works. he get's mad to, telling me to stop using his stuff for my nappy edges
