I think becoming/staying friends with women is fairly easy. You have things to bond over and more activities to do when hanging out. They can just be harder to trust than men.
Men are easy friends because you don't have to do as much to maintain as far as calling/texting goes lol.

I prefer female friends because guys usually get the wrong idea. At least here in the US is like that; you smile, the guy thinks it's on. Problem with girls is that not all of them are trustworthy and once they find a "better" friend (more money, can help them out with jobs, is a vip club goer) they drop you.

i have never had close male friends. we have absolutely nothing in common. the only exception being of course, my SO, because of course, we have shared interests.
