I have hair that is long, but that I'm transitioning from relaxed to
natural (or keratin treated). I haven't had relaxer since february. I'm
thinking of bleaching my hair in two steps. The first lightening to red
copper, then condition, condition, condition, and in a week or two
bleaching to a lighter blonde. Would keratin help to bond and strengthen
my weakened hair, or would my hair be further damaged by the high heat
of the keratin treatment? I've heard some women say that they've had
their treatments done with a max heat of 325-350 degrees, but does that
successfully bond the protein? If you would recommend keratin to
maintain the integrity of my hair, should it be performed before or
after it's bleached, or in between steps, and how long should I wait
between lifting from brown-black to copper, and from copper to blonde?
Thanks for your help, ladies.
I want multi-tonal highlights and lowlights, similar to something like this:
