If any of you saw my other posts, I was sharing that as much as I enjoyed my first ever sew in with closure, my edges will not allow me to ever get a closure again! smh. The girl did not install the closure tight at all and still my edges suffered a little bit so I'm going back to natural leave outs whenever I occasionally get a weave.

So I'm leaving one aggravation and going to the next one...I hate when my leave out flies away and I think I've tried several products to help with this, but I can't remember. I think remember my hairdresser from years ago used to dab this on my leave out and it would stay laid for quite a bit.

So, What helps your keep your leave out laid when your wearing extensions. Especially to you natural hair ladies!

Wella matte styling paste (my hair even defies the brown devil gel) is one of the few things that will work for me.

Good Thread Day

laid leaveout = only using the closest texture match to my natural hair.      Luckily I don't apply any products other than a leave in conditioner.

Like Spencer said if you are not using a texture close to your own, your leaveout will eventually suffer damage. I honestly dont see any way around it over time.

Be careful with hair gels that contain alcohol.
Rotate your part.
Moisturize your hair while wearing your sew in.
Give your leaveout a complete break and maybe get a bob with no part or a " Nikki Minaj"
Rub Jamaican castor oil on your edges
Do NOT let your stylist braid your "baby hair". Probably wasnt baby hair , just your edges have taken such a beating it seems like it is.

Yup, I'm on the happy hunt for some coarse textured hair that can hold a curl and not cost me a months rent. smh. I had so much faith in KCY.com's hair and although it was beautiful it just turned out to be an overpriced short lived experience.

how does one avoid the over laid look? like, no one walks around with long natural hair and gelled down edges. does this make sense? I don't want gelled down edges, I just want them as straight as possible. is there no way around this?

Peak Mill did this super bone straight look and her edges are laid down, but I would hope this is as far as it goes. I know no one is giving Chili tea with their edges. Shocked

I need to find some hair that will stay bone straight and bouncy.
