oh ok. thanks havi!
i think that i just realized that I don't have to pile moisturizer on my hair for it to be effective. i have previously suffered from product over use and put so much conditioner on my hair that I couldn't rinse it or even wash it out easily....
also, i've learned that i don't have to baggy on wet hair or even put moisturizer on my hair every time. i think i read on here or saw on youtube or something that a girl uses her moisturizer one day and can baggy the next few nights without putting more product on and still get conditioning benefits. has anyone here had that experience?
i hope to braid my hair up tonight since i got off work early, but i want to be able to know how to baggy when i take them back down since i think i will baggy and protect the ends most of next year instead of braiding.. depending on length and thickness.

@Love... i totally agree with you on the over conditioning. When I first started, I'm pretty sure I used waaay to much product to the point where I could feel it on my scalp. Then I found sectioning is key for even product distribution. Oh and I also agree with being excited for future challenges. Especially with everything you learned about your hair, its make it very tempting to keep it up. I am seriously thinking about going at least another six months without heat. Good luck to you and I'm glad things are working out! :)

very true. sectioning is key for even product distribution. too much product on my scalp makes me scratch it to death. i end up with a ton of cuts before i realize that i should probably clarify........ thank you for your well wishes :).. i think you should go another 6 months without heat! you have been having some awesome progress yourself
i'm finally getting around to rebraiding my hair. they are super long and thicker. half moon parts. braided to the tip. i am naturally a 1b, but i am blending 4 and 1b just for a bit of dimension. i am being very lazy at braiding it, though. only half a head since this afternoon lol

@Havi... I am definitely down for another challenge. My vote is yes! LOL
@Love... Thanks. I think I am definitely going to wait another six months. Its kind of hard to ignore the benefits that come along with heat free hair. But at the same time I don't want to be afraid of heat which I must admit just may end up being the case lol.
As for me, I've just started including Biotin to my reg on Sat. I picked up the 5000mcg bottle from CVS. I figured even if it does nothing for my hair, at least my nails are getting some love lol!
