My club wants to give scholarships to members, but the usual fundraisers are not really bringing much money. I know Krispy Kreme helps with fundraisers, and we are doing a book sale soon, but I wanted to bring fresh ideas, because I want my club to start giving out scholarships on Fall.

do you know any people personally that could fund small scholarships? Even like $1,000 amounts. That's what my friend does for his  teens to college non profit. The individual could mentor and fund a student.  Also reach out to local businesses.

@Purple, no I don't know anyone. I thought that the club could create a gofundme page to raise more money though.

idk my biggest fundraiser was an art fundraiser
we had local artist either donate their art
or we purchased at a low price so we could sell for higher
raised $10,000 dollars
also we did a couple teen party fundraisers
that made us a profit of 2,500 per party
if you can find a building that holds about 400 people
and get some local popular artist to perform for free
and charge $5-10 per person to get in

I am so upset! I just found out that Sybrina Fulton had been in LA LAST WEEK giving a speech and it was accepting donations! I am really upset I did not find out about that until today!

I am considering getting a subscription of magazines geared towards black women like Essence and Ebony.

I found a couple promotions on Ebony here and here

And here for Essence Magazine.

There is also a $5 subscription for a year of Oprah's magazine on groupon
