Me and a friend are planning a prgram this weekend that promotes black kids in STEM. We have 50 middle and high schoolers coming so far. Stressful as hellOuch.

do you know any people personally that could fund small scholarships? Even like $1,000 amounts. That's what my friend does for his  teens to college non profit. The individual could mentor and fund a student.  Also reach out to local businesses.

@Purple, no I don't know anyone. I thought that the club could create a gofundme page to raise more money though.

idk my biggest fundraiser was an art fundraiser
we had local artist either donate their art
or we purchased at a low price so we could sell for higher
raised $10,000 dollars
also we did a couple teen party fundraisers
that made us a profit of 2,500 per party
if you can find a building that holds about 400 people
and get some local popular artist to perform for free
and charge $5-10 per person to get in

I am so upset! I just found out that Sybrina Fulton had been in LA LAST WEEK giving a speech and it was accepting donations! I am really upset I did not find out about that until today!

I am considering getting a subscription of magazines geared towards black women like Essence and Ebony.

I found a couple promotions on Ebony here and here

And here for Essence Magazine.

There is also a $5 subscription for a year of Oprah's magazine on groupon
