Topic: Jan '13: Hair/Skin/Beauty Plans Posted: Jan 02 2013 at 9:08am |
Being the new year, I'm sure many are gung-ho about really sticking to their plans for a better self. What will you be doing with your hair and skin care in this cold January weather?
Skin: I need to do better. I always fall asleep without washing my face. So 2x/day regimen of black soap and Proactiv. Drink at least 4 water bottles a day. Eat whole foods only. Multivitamin daily.
Hair: nothing to do here but wash and condition more. Stop slacking with retightening. Don't leave house or sleep w/ wet hair. And I think my locs are settled enough to try a rollerset or braid/twist-out.

Skin - Try to actually stick to my regimen - I am always guilty of falling asleep with makeup on and crap but I have a new regi [Aveeno Clear Complexion, Yes to Cucumbers Eye Gel & Moitruzier with Philosophy Vitamin C powder]
Hair - Lord just let my head scarf stay on through the night just once.

Southern you on a roll huh? Keep this up, I'm gonna make you my boo...
Anyway for the skin, I've been using the papaya kojic acid soap along with kojic acid cream. I have a knock off clarsonic, which I use as well. I currently have a few "hot spots" because I was a little overzealous with the scrubber. But I have seen improvements to my overall even skin tone.
My hair, I'm still on my goal to WL hair...I'm a little past MBL...so hopefully by summer, I'll be there. My objective is to do weekly deep conditionings & weekly rollersets. No more blow drying or flat irons!
I'm also trying to grow my nails, they are thin so I keep them short, but I plan on keeping them polished with a strentghing formula and see if I can get them long and strong!

Jewelz, let's just say I had a huge weight lifted off my shoulders, now it's time to utilize that blessing for a better me.
Now I want a clarisonic. does that help with scarring from old breakouts?

Gawd im guilty of sleeping in makeup too. Thats why I try to wash my face as soon as I get in the house cause if I lay down I usually dont get back up Hair: wash once a week. Moisturize with shea butter and conditioner Face: wash every night, start exfoliating again Body: start drinking water again. I need to find my big water bottle to bring to work with me Gain 15 pounds, then start working out every week Also take my multi vitamins again
