Her line of thinking in general would be more relevant if mags like Essence, Ebony, etc were actually being clamored after by white models to grace the covers. Unfortunately, they're not. I have yet to hear a white "super model" crying in her boots because the creative directors over at Essence, Ebony, etc keep passing them over. If these magazines tried harder to to be more competitive instead of regurgitating the same "black woman has hard time finding a man" schtick, then maybe they would be more competitive.

And to add to that, any minority focused magazine (Latina, Mujer, Audrey, Essence, etc) is just that MINORITY FOCUSED. They never claim to be the voice of or go-to source for ALL women regardless of color, ethnicity etc. So, the "goose/gander" theory doesn't hold water IMO. However, Vogue, Cosmo, etc DO claim to be a voice of and go-to source for ALL women. Therefore, more representation is needed on and in those magazines.

Clap Thank you!  An important fact that missed Jada.

Jada has been sippin' the Hollyweed kool-aid way too long, and hanging out with Gweneth way too much!

And there is not a single, white woman who is a SISTER of mine. You can best believe that.

I was telling my ex-husband about this. This negro said, "Meanwhile your white sisters are somewhere saying what da hell is Jada talking about? We arent checking for the covers of Baby Jet Magazine." He went on to say, white folks would be like "what is this, a Watchtower, a Daily Bread?"

@NYC- let me slide just one more time lol!

So children-- did we please jada and learn our lesson?

The way to get beneficiaries of a of an unjust system to change their ways, we as vicims of said system have to give them more benefits/privledge/fair treatment.

It's all so clear to me now!!

Umm, no.  Paltrow has an academy award, famous parents, and works.   Jada has a popular, high paid husband.
