It would depend on the age of the person and where they grew up. Blacks and whites don't freely interact in America, so I really don't think it's that odd. I would actually be more wary of a WM who dates black women exclusively. I am the only black woman my husband ever knowingly dated. He had dated a biracial girl before, but did not know she was mixed until he saw a pic of her mom.  There just weren't that many black women in his circle, especially ones that he was attracted to. I'd find out more before dismissing him based on solely that statement.

I don't like that , especially since its almost always said as if it's something that I should be proud of. I will not be the first or only black person they know or interact with.
