"InsideHoops.com hears (but has not yet officially confirmed) that
Carmelo Anthony got in a fight in New York city last night.
InsideHoops.com confirms that it was Club Babalou that Carmelo was at
last night, but the club refused to comment on whether there was
actually a fight or not. (The general manager told InsideHoops.com the
following: "I can't talk about that" - in other words, it probably
happened, but he can't comment at this time.) Anyway, here's the
unconfirmed rumor as it gets patched together: Carmelo Anthony and
girlfriend Lala (an MTV VJ) were together Monday night in New York at a
club. Lala's ex-boyfriend (he's actually her ex-fiance), a guy named
Suga J (someone tells me he used to be in Harlem World, rapper Mase's
crew, but I haven't confirmed that. In fact, his name might be Sugar
Ray), was there. Pleasant conversation turned into an argument, and word
is Suga J/Ray spit in Lala's face, angering Carmelo Anthony, and an
all-out fight started that Melo was definitely in the middle of. We're
told that Melo was without bodyguards, and that all hell broke loose. It
was a full-on fight. We don't know who "won" the fight or how badly
anyone got hurt, or how it ended."
